Description
The desire for an overhead view of "The Wake" in it's entirety is what sent me up the hillside. Not acquiring that POV, I began scanning the terrain for another try. While descended from the impressive vista of the amphitheater back down towards "The Wake" on it's left flank(opposite from my ascension). The last post in this series, "Sandstone comeback" and this image where the only shots taken before proceeding through "The Wake" and another trek up the hillside began. Bound and determined to try for that overhead view.
I have been known to be a little overly diligent about such pursuits lol!, but then again a lot of amazing things come out of that diligence. Like finding the largest natural Sandstone amphitheater I've ever seen.
An odd title turned out for this image as my mind seems to be on billiards. Kept wanting to call it "Iron oxide in the corner pocket"...lol!
To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!!
