Description

Just a little tribute to the first human to ever set foot on another world. Rest in Peace, Neil. I well remember the sense of thrill and pride I felt while watching the coverage of the first lunar landing. I was stationed in Udorn Thailand at the time - the TV room in our barracks was packed. You could have heard a pin drop. I'll never forget the cheer that went up when that lunar module touched down, and we heard "Houston, the Eagle has landed." I felt much the same thrill a couple weeks ago when Curiosity settled gently onto the surface of Mars. Where were you when Neil took that historic step? Flag photo by me, Moon photo courtesy of NASA.
