Description
Southgate is an area of Melbourne Australia on the banks of The Yarra River. The red arrows show where I took the photo from. The water slide stood where the round building, Hamer Hall, now stands. The bridge is Princes Bridge. It was built on the site of one of the oldest river crossings in Australia. The bridge connects Swanston Street on the north bank of the Yarra River to St Kilda Road on the south bank, and carries road, tram and pedestrian traffic. The present bridge was built in 1888.

Being a bit of a nostalgia freak I think i'll always prefer the 'old' to the 'new' lol. I too wish i'd take the time to go to Melbourne the last time I was in AU. Wonderful scenes Andrew.
