Little Ruffle had told the friends that when she thought it would be safe, she crept out of the hollow in the tree & decided she must find some help. So she very quietly & carefully left her hiding place & looked around. It was a funny old place, although there were green trees & grass around her when she looked towards the building that she had seen it was as if they were in the town. Funny she had thought to herself. She was feeling very frightened but she had to find help. Not only for her sister Spangle but for any other pups, as she had heard the smelly lady say "Put them with the othere?" "So here I am!!" she told the friends. After hearing this Jasmine asked Ruffle if she could remember which way she had come as none of them had heard of such a place. "Well I thought I was rather clever, for one so young." replied Ruffle, giving a cute smile. "I gathered some little tiny stones in my mouth & left a trail, we should be able to pick it up." Ruffles grew a few inches & felt so pleased. "Wow, I am impressed" Zlata told her. (If Zlata is impressed, Ruffles is ok, I think, BB) "Right come on then" said Jasmine. "Best paws or feet forward, lets look for the trail." Poor Zwoggle wasn't too sure about this new adventure, it sounded rather scarey to him but he couldn't back out as he did rather want Zlata to be proud of him. So he started to look. "Here we are." said Meadow. "I think I have found it, the stones are only small but they would be wouldn't they, for Ruffle to carry. Zwoggle had hoped to impress he could have found the trail but thats the way it goes. So the friends set off on the trail. They soon came to a cave in the side of the hill. "Thats it, thats where I came through." shouted Ruffles. "Hurray, hurray" the friends shouted. "Hey, hang on a minute, whats all this noise." The friends turned to see a hare sitting nearby. "I am in the middle of my lunch, whats all the noise? This is a quiet place there is usually only Sid Snail & myself here" he told the friends. Meadow put her sorrowful face on. "We are so sorry but we are looking for Ruffles, sister, Spangle she has been pupnapped & is in a horrible place." Oh, flip I know where you mean" the hare told her. "I would be very careful if I was you." "So you will know where to find her then?" asked Zlata, getting up on the mushroom besides Sid for a rest. "Oye, watch you don't crush my home." said Sid. He wasn't too sure if Zlata had seen him. "I do, but take care. You have to go into the cave & out the otherside." Hare told them. "Should I wait here for you?" asked Zwoggle. Oh no, I don't think so" Zlata told him. "One goes we all go." "Thanks for your help" Jasmine told Hare. "Oh by the way whats your name." "I am Harry, I just live over there" he pointed to a clump of trees. "I will be here when you return." "If we return?" Zwoggle muttered to himself. Come on then, lets get on, the sooner we start the sooner we rescue Spangle." said Jasmine trying to sound very confident. So the friends went into the cave, Zlata hoped it wasn't to far to the other side but she was comforted to know Zwoggle was with her. There in the trees was, unbeknown to the friends, maybe their guardian angel. (Silly dolly. BB)
