looks like very poor planning by the builder.when I was working in so many homes I saw all kinds of weird things.once I extended a 32' ladder on the bed of a previous pickup to reach a back wall of a garage apartment of a mansion and when I got to the top the ladder was shoving the siding into the wall because of no wall studs.there had to have been nearly a 4 feet space with no studs. I quickly done my task and got the heck off the ladder. very interesting subject
