Suddenly the summer is over... authum arrived
It was one of the wettest summers in history.. rain, rain, rain.. luckely for me and those in my city most rain fell during the night(s).
Still it is special that I only had about 8 days (!) in the period 1 may / 31 august that I could be on my boat without a jacket.. !!!! Only 8 days with temperatures over 17 degrees celcius.
I will remember it as a cold summer.. with loads of fresh water every night..
Photo was taken yesterday.. when it started to rain around 8 in the evening when I was ALMOST in the harbor.. Had to wait a while as thunder and lighning ended one of these 8 days that I could do without a jacket...
Not as much rain as in Louisiana... of course.. but still it was nasty.. and the pumps had a hard time getting it all towards the sea

In Colorado, we are having months of record heat... the hottest it's ever been here is 105 and we had that back to back days... We also had our worst wildfire season in the history of our state - and you're complaining about rain - lol without rain, our crops are non existent. We're ready for snow - but... it usually doesn't snow until the last week of October.

We're in the middle of our dry season in SW Washington. I just wish it would rain for a couple of days.... great capture here
