Description

Rover? Another view of Mauna Kea mountains in HDR... Rover? Their test site was at the 9,020 ft. elevation. I’m about the 11,000 elevation. I think Rover would have made it up here but not so sure about those NASA scientist. Everyone acts different in higher elevation. One of my friends (ex-ranger for this area) took some astronomers up to the top of Mauna Kea, they said they wouldn’t have any problems with high elevation as they are use to it. One guy pass out and they all came down to safety. Your best cure for high altitude sickness is get back to lower elevation. Stay safe... Aloha and thank you for viewing

I was high as a kite when I went to thet top of Mauna Kea, and I quite enjoyed the trip. Quite a desert on a tropical island. :)) Good shot, and good HDR work.

A fantastic image, Dear Errol! It's fascinating to see a place like this, where not everyone will dare to venture! You always inspire and take your viewers to higher levels (quite literally) as well! Beautiful capture, my Friend!

Never in my life have I had trouble with high elevation and living so close to the Sierra Mountains, that's a bonus. I've visited 11,000 feet several times and my only challenge lately is climbing stairs. This is a great shot!

Extremely cool capture! Wow, I thought at first this was a snap taken by Curiosity on Mars. Other than the wispy clouds and blue sky, it looks just like the recent photos from the Red planet. And the astronomers should have been wearing oxygen masks.
