Lordi - Wake The Snake

Lordi is a Finnish hard rock band, formed in 1996 by the band's lead singer, songwriter and costume-designer, Mr. Lordi. The band is known for wearing monster masks and using pyrotechnics during concerts. They rose to domestic success with their 2002 single, "Would You Love a Monsterman?".
Lordi made history in 2006 by winning the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with a then record 292 points, becoming the first Finnish performer to win the contest. Lordi was featured on the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards in Copenhagen when the band's frontman, Mr. Lordi, presented the award for rock. They were also the closing act, playing their single "Hard Rock Hallelujah". They also performed on Britain's Making Your Mind Up for the Eurovision Song Contest. Lordi performed on the main stage at Ozzfest 2007 and later that year toured with Type O Negative and Twin Method until Halloween night.

I am ashamed to say, I was watching the T.V. the night the wonderful Lordi WON, YES WON, the Eurocrap contest! The only time a proper song has won it! lol Could NOT believe it, nor could the almighty Sir Terry Wogan! lol Anyway, fab picture, love the skull lighting, and mouldy look.. Very effective indeed.. Looks a bit like some bands album cover.. So, try more Rosy! Go girl LOL Happy Hols to all of you out there in U.S. land! Rob :-)

thanks for introducing me to Lordi... supa cool stuff. up till now, my favourite Finnish rock band has been Leningrad Cowboys... we'll see how this works out... or, to quote an idol from my misspent youth... live long and prosper...

you are really deep into music -i quit following really when i quit beeing DJlong time ago.i still know a bit whats going on in the scene but not as much as before. while Dj i played the charts (commercial charts)up and down -nowadays i most use the music to overlap the inutil noise of the neighbours. i expect when we will be back in luxembourg that i can listen music because i want to at a specific moment and not that i have to make noise to overlap other peoples noise. today kids took the styrophor tubes wich are supposed to be used inside the pol,and banmged the tubes on the concrete. just imagine the volume of the noise when it came up to the 5th floor . there is a poolyard downstairs but enclosed with 3 walls and the sound folows the walls and flashes back and when it mounts it gets ever stronger i just tried to explain to one of the kids (she is 12)that that is really bad noise but she looked at me if i was alien.i should have taken these 3 minutes and talk to my dogs at least they listen. the kids continue doing ever more loud banging right now at this moment when i am commenting. i raised my music volume.. i want to get the f.. out of here.
