Sorry I couldn’t get a better focus on this, but to get a clear shot I had to stand in mud and kept sinking.

I could conjure a tale about earth people and their magic from this photo - an old man and his wife who try to make their way to the surface with their 3 children...thinking life is easier by location instead of easier by merit. Wonderful find.

looks like Cypress knees. maybe the swamp took the tree and it is trying to reach for the sky. great find
