Even though the white pine at this view point is overly photographed, I decided to shoot from this vantage to show two things. The northern exposure of Wizard Island still under snow Secondly, on the bottom right corner, a fine example of the hardships of survival here. The trees have been folded over by the crushing weight of all that snow. Average snowfall 44 feet(13.4 meters), greatest cumulative snowfall was in the winter of 1932-33 at 73 feet( 22.25 meters). This is an image from late June, and it was a minimal snow year! If you have a moment do enjoy a zoooom.
