Very cute shot, but I would think it would be dangerous for them.

Wow I just notice the second child upfront and mom sidesaddle. No they would not get away with that here. You can't even let a child ride in the back of a truck or the front sit of the car lol.

Looks like 2 kids and parents. As for helmets... in a perfect world everyone can be perfect and every situation the same, but in a situation where you are just lucky to have a motor bike and a thimble of gas to get to the doctor and back on, the helmet seems not so important. Like here, poor families just looking for a way to stay out of the elements and off the street live in condemned buildings with no heat, running water or electricity... they are put on the street when found where they are rained on, robbed, forced to sleep in bushes and subject to no chance of being clean enough to look for work. But, remember, we got them out of that bad old building that wasn't fit to live in... they must be better off in the bushes then, right?

Very interesting capture, Jock. Not surprising considering that Mexico is a third world country. And here in the USA we ruminate on whether to buy a small car for gas economy or a large one for safety.

I didn't notice the young fellow sitting up front. I see the adults use helmets but the children don't.

No helmets for the kids? These people should go straight to jail. But as you note, different places have different mores. Excellent photo journalistic shot.

You've just got to hope they all make it home safely... I suspect it's like this in many places... I think I prefer my minivan. Great shot, Jock!

Now that is cute! I liked the title as well! :) Hope they have a back up though in case of rain! It looks like a fun expedition (though even better with helmets!) on a sunny day for the family indeed! I do hope he goes very slow for safety!
