Wow!!! I have never seen anything like this before!! It truly looks like coins growing in the bark!!! Hmm...I wonder if there is where the phrase 'do you think money grows on trees?' came from??

For anyone interested I have come across this in a number of places, this ones in a place called Janet's Foss in the Yorkshire moors Nr Gordale Scar but I've come across ones in Devon and Derbyshire, It seems people just love to hammer their small change into a rotting log,It must have been going on for years as some of the coins are very old.
