Description

Xenodream objects exported into Octane for rendering. Up till now I have been exporting sample xenodream files, but I saw Garth's recent Arterial image and tried like the dickens to learn XD better. Finally I sent a mail to Garth asking him how he did it. He told me and now I can do so much more than I could before. Thank you Garth! Your software is incredible. His instructions for producing the Julia/Torus follows (very useful for anyone playing with xenodream): To get a power 4 Julia, you need to use JulianT, with Amount 40. For Arterial it has Scale -38, Special 0; and the holon scales are 100, Y rotation 90. The torus has holon scales 20 (or else you need to reduce density by a lot), X rotation 90, Z rotation 45, Metamorph amount 3, scale 8, with Reorient checked and is also hidden so you don't see the original torus. It also has Maxiter 8. The camera is rotated with X angle about 69 for this view; without that you will see the four way symmetry. With all Julia metamorphs, there are some guidelines to make them work and get the best out of them, with some help in the tutorials. They always need adjustment to avoid constructors blowing up into large areas that will never render, and parts can be slow anyway.

That is so cool! Wait, someone already said that. Thanks for sharing what you did. I haven't used Xenodream in awhile, and haven't explored the new morphs. You're tempting me! :) And Garth is the best!
