Description

Bakken means "The Hill" and it lies just in the edge of a beautiful forest with deers and other lovely creatures of its kind. A wonderful place to have a picnic, here in Denmark, Zeeland. I gave it a little more saturation to make it more visible, It was pale after many years in the Danish weather. Have a beautiful day/evening. We had summer weather today with about 25C. and very little wind. We enjoyed it as it wont last for long :) Thank you for your always welcome viewing, commenting and fav to my previous post. :-)

This makes me think of Ray Bradbury stories: there's the obvious Something Wicked This Way Comes because it's based in a carnival and the carnival imagery here is very strong and evocative. But it also makes me think of The Illustrated Man, because...well...imagine what a wonderful tattoo this would make! Oh, but wait, it is a tattoo. It's a tattoo for a wall! And it's beautiful. I rather like the very slightly, vaguely frightening expressions on everyone's face. I think that's one of the things that make amusement part art so interesting. They imply happiness and fun, but the images themselves are static and so they seem strangely ghost-like and even sinister as the smiles never change, not even when they fade! I think that's a part of their beauty, however; the meanings of the pictures never changes, but the pictures themselves do, especially if Danish weather is like Chicago weather! I love this piece! It evokes all sorts of fun, and sometimes spooky stories.
