Description

This is a middle aged female gorilla that I caught watching the children that were passing her enclosure. The wall in front of her was the edge of the deep, water filled moat that separated the humans from the gorillas in this exhibit. Photo taken at the Walt Disney Worlds Animal Kingdom. Taken with my old trusty Minolta, many years ago. Zoom works well here! Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

She looks deep in thought and perhaps a bit sad. I remember seeing the documentary on Koko the talking gorilla and she recalled her mother being killed when she was a baby. Ever since then I feel like gorillas and perhaps chimps are more like us without the ability to speak. Your photo enforces my thinking. Great shot.

What a pose here, he looks like he feels themselves the king of all apes. A stunning shot, Dana.
