Description
This is a wide angle shot of the Ring nebula. I shot it last night, but my mount did not want to work right. This is about 20 pictures out of 70 that I took. Thanks for looking.

Gorgeous! This is the first nebula I became familiar with (at least as a picture seen in an encyclopedia, when I was a child.) It's funny how an astronomical object can stir feelings similar to nostalgia and this image has suddenly done that. It's because of this nebula that I developed a love of the night, because of this nebula (and reruns of classic Star Trek) that I decided to become a science fiction writer, and it's because of this nebula, so perfectly captured in its native environment, that I love this image! Great work, despite an uncooperative mount.
