My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Wow - and there's even a layer of clouds (shredded clouds, but clouds nonetheless) settling on the 'hills.' This is just too cool, Tara! It really does look like a river, complete with river rocks to stack.. Delightful!

What a dedication and image. I haven't started reading it yet, but I have Ursula K. LeGuin's book, Searoad, which is non-science fiction/non-fantasy (for the most part, though there might be some magical realism involved) and for some reason this is making me think of that! I think because it's a part of the same landscape, or maybe because there's a story here and I just have to sit still long enough for the wood or the pebbles or the sunlight to tell me what it is! Ah, but this is one of those photos that invites sitting still, especially since it's such a gorgeous landscape in precisely the way we should see a landscape...and that always happens when we see one where one isn't expected. Ah...landscapes are such intriguing things when you stop to look at them, especially when they're woodscapes! This is brilliant! Perfect. A favorite.

When I saw this, I thought of some of the landscape I have seen out west. It could be sand swept hills with a ravine at the bottom. I love this.
