Lovely Steve. I have only been on a few steam trains in my life.

Reminds me of my childhood, and the fact that this excited little boy grew up to be a guard on British railways, although by then the trains were all electric. Nice to see this in the front config, a lot of the Swanage route was run with reversed locos for some strange reason unbeknownst to me. As to the shot, this is just so magical, like those 60's jigsaw puzzles that were way hard to do :)

Your art-work is splendid. 5+!!! I thank you for it.

Magnificent engine Steve:)I used to live just up the road from the Pinhoe depot Exeter in the 60's. The track ran just the other side of my garden fence so I used to watch the steam trains for hours. Now I have to take a 5 minute walk down to the cliffs to watch the Paignton to Kingswear steam trains running every hour or so in the season :)

well done on this shot

Great POV and framing. I like the out of focus bush in the foreground, although it obscures the drivers. You might be interested in the series I'm doing of the Cumbres & Toltec excursion train in Colorado and New Mexico.
