I really like this color variation better! :) On my monitor it looks more blues ... I did want to mention the sort "gray outline" across the top of the wings/top of bird, and under right(right from my viewpoint) wing... it's not quite a shadow... so it looks a bit more like a "cut out" placed over... to me anyway... I know you need the white eagle to stand apart but maybe softening this line?

What a marvelous looking image, you really went all out on this one Carol

I do prefer this over the other. The tones in the other were more mustard in color, and not my fav. The cooler tones here fit the High Country IMHO! ;)

I think this color version is better!
LivingPixels
awesome!

There are elements in both of these that I like. I like the medallion and group below in this one and I like the eagle's face setting in the earlier one. And now that I flash back and forth between the two I imagine composite blending would be nice, noting that the full eagle in the middle needs contrast in the end. How's that for being a pain in the arse? ;P Glad to be back home and a nice monitor ;)

Gorgeous!

I like the white in the eagles head... the full eagle next to it looks to white washed... I think if you can paint the white eagles feathers to look like the eagle head, your image would look soooo much beter.

I'm leaning towards the warmer toned version. ~Cheers~

They both are looking great to me, but I think this one has the edge over the other for colour tones. Your work is always a joy for me to view, hugs Jane xx
