Description
Some friends and I went out for a day trip recently in search of Odiham Castle (pic to follow later).
To get there, we had a short walk along the Basingstoke Canal.
This is a raising bridge that carries the road over the canal. As this part of the canal is still navigable, it is in working order and is controlled from the grey box on the right of the shot.
Sadly, no narrow boats came through while we were there so I didn't get to see it in action.
Still, it makes a pleasant photo. :-)
