Astral log 5.9, section Arcanis: It was not as easy as I thought to visit the elders of the Phar, but I managed. I had to find a guide and the best price I could get was to let him scan my childhood memory for his Xenoethnological studies. I think that was still a lot better than undergoing some of the more physical testing they wanted to perform on me. So this morning I went to section Arcanis. The elders live in the " globes " which are their floating houses (or maybe their extended bodies, I am not sure). They are far above the surface, performing a stately dance in the sky, while each is emitting and modulating a single tone. This creates an overwhelming harmony, which I feel the stars should dance to. The elders themselves meditate upon some arcane subject or other. I quite liked him, for a Phar he was very quiet and it made my mind feel calm and clear. He even produced some kind of tea and biscuits for me, which he knew was a human ritual with guests. He said I could not perform the Phar ritual which involved a sharing of the mind and of voices. They are definitely a fascinating species and I will see if I can hang around here some longer.
