Description
The preacher had prayed... and prayed. All of his prayers remained unanswered and the world still burned. Over the past years the violence had increased beyond belief, people warred in the streets for scraps of food or bits of wood for fuel and heat...
Now he found himself, kneeling at the bank of a river, faced with the choice... He could stand by praying to a deaf god, or take up the fight. So began the Mechanic's journey.

Pal, this is great. I mean this is really great. Your lighting is super fantastic tremendous, I love the blend of genres, western/supernatural/apocalyptic, and your story is so gripping. It feels like this character has set your mind on fire and that is so friggin' awesome. Extremely impressive work, buddy!

Super work as always man, when it does all break down I'm afraid it will be a more drastic choice than action or inaction. This firestorm over that anti-Muslim Vid on the internet and seeing how it's spread through the Muslim Countries brought Nostardamus's prediction of the End of the World rising from a war over religions begining in the Middle East, precipitated by the Ruler wearing the Blue Turbin. Not a real popular color for Turbins, pretty sure it will stand out but I sure been paying more attention to the color of Headdress last few days. Peace

Well Excalibur was seen as a sword at first due to the time period, so it is fitting that a modern version has a more appropriate form. Now I wonder if Merlin will reawken to aid and guide the Preacher? Though, since Merlin travelled backwards through time, he would have met the Preacher before he did Arthur.

Some times we face some hard choices, sometimes we pray for the answer but in the end it comes down to whats deep in your heart and soul, that's where the answers found. I love the mechanic and story. I too hope there might be more lol.

The sword of modern times represented by the gun--and a choice to make. There is a time and place for introspection, thoughtful contemplation and prayers. But sometimes it's not enough. Then you are faced with a decision, and sometimes only bold action can be taken. I also like that you are reflecting the Avalon approach: pagan magic vs. Christian magic--and which must be cast aside? Therein lies the Choice. Excellent work and story line! I just love this illustrative style you've got going here, Seth. And the words are just a wonderful accompaniment. This is what art should do, in my opinion, tell a story, and you' just do that amazingly well. :)

Great scene. I like how the hat covers his eyes. Since the eyes are the window to the soul and because we don't see them, his choice is a little bit of a mystery - although he think i know what it will be :)
