Oh the ironman contest is coming up and it here on this island. cost $75 to enter and winner takes $75,000. I not going to enter or be here

Yes, it's a Karman Ghia (probably modified though), my best friend had one when we were in high school, it was green. Brings back good memories.

Well spotted... I believe it's a Porsche 356 from the 1950's.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_356

They were nice but very dangerous. But I think too, its a beetle modified.

Great capture and motif, Jock. Cool shot of this historic car. It was probably state of the art sports car in the 1960s :)+5

Interesting find Jocko...I absolutely agree with Kenmo above...this is a 1950s, maybe early 1960s Porsche 356 convertible...with a missing back bumper and some homemade modifications such as the exhaust pipes coming out where they do. I used to live in Stuttgard, Germany where the Porsche factory is located.

looks like a porsche 356 c Cabriolet, although the exhaust pipes aren't in the right place, they should be down below the skirt. and owner probably put in a hopped up engine and added some "cool" exhausts... sweet capture!

Great find and capture Jock. Looks like a 356 vintage 1950s. Tail pipes have been modified!
