Description
She is looked upon
with reverance and awe
for she hold the Wisdom
of the Tribe within each
wrinkle on her face,
within each strand of
her beautiful gray hair.
Her body hold the years
of working the land
she loves, and her eyes
embrace the depth of
pain for her people,
a people often lost by the
actions of inhumanity
in its finest hour!
This sketch was done with H,
HB, 2B and 2B pencil with
finishing touches and filtering
accomplished through PSP7 and Corel.

Ahhh Cheryl - Yes with a capital "Y" - Not only is this a wonderful portraiture of a tribal Matriarch of a people oppressed beyond belief, the sentiment in your tribute of near poetic terse is overflowing with a sad truth. Your exquisite shading in this is top of the line and positively a delight to see - at the rate of your progression - it will soon be I who will need pointers from you. I hope you also plan a color rendition of this marvelous creation - not that it needs it, but just for the practice. I am so proud of you Cheryl, your art is forging ahead with the speed of the passion in art that only a real artist will ever know - much less accomplish. Excellent work young lady.
