Hi, I am Barbara and live in Lincolnshire. I love nothing better than walking with my 3 dogs, (Large Munsterlanders) and taking the camera along. Iam afraid my photographic skills are not very good, I just point and click & hope for the best. Sometimes I do take some nice shots!!
I have lived with this breed since 1986, before that I had border collies. I was told when getting my first Munster, Jenna, I would become addicted and I sure was, owning 7 of this breed over the years.
Although Munsters are a working gundog, afraid I couldn't shoot anything, so we do other things like, showing, obedience and heelwork to music.
The girls are all different & I hope to show that in their pictures.
I would like to thank my good friend Janeeden for persuading me to get started.
Video's & songs for the girls can be seen on www.jendellas.com

Sweet shot

Wonderful picture of sweet Meadow. My guess would be she got bit by one recently and now associates them with pain. Maybe her hearing is starting to go, if so then certain noises will be far more irritating. I know that is how it is with people that are developing hearing loss. Not sure about dogs.

very sweet photo. Jim's explanation sounds very reasonable

I love this sweet moment - what can I say: However - I love it

I hope all is going normal for her lol....Good pic to ((5++))

Most interesting, and I think she might have been frightened by a wasp. Ralphie won't sleep in his chair in my bedroom since he had a wasp in his bedding, and now always spends the night on the floor cushion. He is quite nervy about flies since then, too, so maybe Meadow is the same.

Sounds like paranoia, might want to talk to your Veterinarian about it. It could be her age or maybe she got infected by something. Wonderful capture! :)

I think it's a nice capture of her Barbara, and I'm sure there is a reason for the way she is acting lately. Maybe it's like you said and something to do with her memories.

Poor Meadow! Something must have scared or hurt her & she associates certain things with that.

I like the photo and the pose Barbara. If dogs could only talk!
Glendaw
Poor Meadow! There is something going on that is making her act out differently. Sure hope it isn't anything to serious and I'm sure both of you will feel better when you find out what the problem is.

Hard to say why animals act odd, the blue bottle aversion is interesting, outstanding capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gillbrooks
May sound odd, but do you have a reaction to flies ? I've noticed with Maya that anything Stuart or I dislike or react to in a bad way, she does too. Sweet shot though :)

Lots of theories here.... No clue, but as gill said how do you react to the flies? Poor Meadow, give her a hug from Texas.

I think that Andrea has the answer .. dogs make strange associations. Gillbrooks has a good point to, if you react to flies or bees .. sometimes our dogs will, too. Except they don't necessarily differentiate between one flying thing and another, both make buzzy noises .. bees and blue bottles ... It's a lovely photo of Meadow .. just a shame that it is under these circumstances. Give her lots of hugs and kisses from us
