I could not even imagine having to wash clothes this way but this was top of the line in it's day.

We had washing machines with the top similar to that rollers but not quite the same all around. My how they have improved in this modern times :). I do the washing all the time now, how hard is it to put clothes, soap inside and push a button? Nice find of this old washing machine... Aloha

My mom use to tell us kids stories of how she once had to do laundry. :))))) It is really interesting to look back at history and see how my grand parents and parents lived, and how far we have come. :))))) Most excellent capture of history my friend. :)))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :)))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))))

Now that is old timey we used to have an old ringer washer machine now thats an antique too but believe this is older Hugs Susan~

So cool! I remember the rollers on top but the bottom half of ours was a porcelain tub with an agitator inside. The fun part was, in the winter, to get them hung on the cloths line before the wet clothing froze.

We had once one with rollers, but it was electric and cubic shape. The wooden one looks great.
