Description

On one of our last trips taken as a family before the big move back to the valley, we were witness to some of the most beautiful captures of the sunset we had ever seen. Taken on the beautiful shores of Samoa Sand Dunes, this is definitely one of my favorite places in Humboldt County. I would go here to read a book, sit in the sand, or look for shells. Ah, so nice. I was based out of American Samoa for many years while working as a pilot/mechanic on the tuna seiners. Mostly at the docks in Pago Pago. But I've been to Apia briefly on the island of Upolu. One of these days I'll get around to scanning some slides. There's almost no beach on the island of Tutuila. Sometimes on test flights from either the airport on Tutuila, I would go check out the small island of Aunu'u. It was always beautiful.

Jeeeez you guys get the shots! I love the light beams. It's like there's a big giant Saturn in the sky. God forbid. LOL. If you guys are ever bored you should check out the movie "Another Earth". Absolutely awesome movie and a very, very beautiful picture here!
