Description
On Saturday I found this little guy examining very carefully my papayas. I do not know what kind of insect is but I was fascinated by its streamlined shape and color combination. I hope he did not like the taste of green papayas, because I would not have problems with him and his family at the time of harvest.

Looks like a wasp to me (this variety is also known as a yellowjacket). A fine capture & good luck with your papayas...

Such fine details on this wasp (?) sitting and waiting for you to take his picture ... I also grow Papayas or as we also call them here 'Paw Paw' - did you know, that you can also make a beautiful and refreshing salad with the green ones? of course, very finely shredded with a delicious sweet/spicy dressing?
