Description

Something simple this night. While bike riding to my son's school in the morning. I noticed that every few days rings of these fungi are in the park next to the school, and so the camera came along for the ride. To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! Thank you all that viewed my last image below. thumb_2368631.jpg

Faerie rings :) Nice close up capture of these little guys, Dana! Fungal rings can be quite large. It's possible they're all grown together into one giant one that still looks like separate ones. Did you know that the largest living organism in the world is a fungus? I think it's in Oregon and maybe part of Washington State, too.

This reminds me that we have not seen many of these in our neck of the woods due to the drought. Very refreshing!

You know you can shave these and smoke the shavings. LOL. I'm kiddin'. Very cool. I used to go mushroom picking with my father so I can spot the edible ones, but it's still so risky. I've been seeing a bunch of them here.
