Description
Just a "Crime Noir" experiement to further my "Pulp" art experiments as I do the finishing touches on "Man's Rage" magazine.
Most of the "Pulp" I like is either the early era with Gernsback Sci-Fi, REH, HPL, Clark Ashton Smith. Or the latter "Last Gasp" era, the "Men's Adventure".
But in late 40s to mid 60s there was this "Under the counter paperback" era, the same "Dime Novel Detective" one but for "Dirty" books. Burrough's "Junkie" the later "Naked Lunch" got printed in this timeframe. These were 25c or more since they were porn and no publisher's stamp since the Fuzz were looking for 'em...
This is a "Clean" version. Have a naughtier one under "KingNot" in Renderotica...but don't go there if you are under 18 or have a weak stomach...
As far as the story, well true to the history most of it was in the cover/hype and the stories often were crud. Some gems there, like the aforementioned Burroughs. If you ever watch the film "Naked Lunch" the early part has Burroughs with the foundational "Beats" talking about writing nasty stuff under pen names...
I'm not sure if my alter ego Pen Name "Maxx Feral" will write this. Story is really on the cover, no? Then again, I used to say that about "Death on the M'Kunga river...
Oh, and for the latter "Clean Version" the "Candy Girl" outfit I bought on a lark + a simple blue velvet texture = Perfect.
