Description
Shore Acres State Park, located near Coos Bay on the Oregon coast, was once a private estate that belonged to Louis Simpson, a lumber baron. It features some beautiful formal gardens, as well as dramatic rock formations & coastline. This photo is what remains of his tennis court, which is now cracking apart & sprouting grass as nature reclaims what man has abandoned...

Nature wastes no time in reclamation.

Empty places have their own atmosphere! Well seen.

I believe I like the tennis court like this much better. The other way is just a plain slab of concrete and this way is more friendly with "puzzle" pieces help together perfectly by mother nature.

Oooh, this is so fascinating! I love the broken surface with grass around all the edges, and the background of trees...it tickles my creative bits, which is rare! Beautifully captured and postworked!

I wonder about the shapes. I know if there's a crack somewhere, and another crack appears at another angle, the second crack stops when it gets to the first one. (It doesn't run and jump the first crack, in other words.) This is a fascinating pattern!
