Description

It has been a stressful week. I have to thank Daz for helping me to realize that my laptop was sick. A relatively simple render just refused to render (not this one), running 18 hours then overheating my system (even my more complex renders take no longer than 2 hours, normally). I took it to the Geek Squad, thinking my fan was dying. It was my hard drive deteriorating and of course, my warranty had just expired. The couldn't save my programs, but they did save my data. A grueling three days of me without my computer, and being present, sitting there just looking pathetic and waiting at Best Buy every day, to sort of passive aggressively make them work a bit more diligently ... lol. Hey, out of site, out of mind, right? Anyway ... lol ... this is one of my rare chic-lit covers. Not real sure I grasp the genre, yet, but the author was happy with the art. Now she just has to approve the design aspect. Maybe I am just uncertain because I don't have a figure or any dynamics in the scene ... lol. Heck, I wouldn't even call this a scene. But, it's what the author wanted, so who am I to question? Pay's the bills, right? Is it chic-lit-like to ya'll? We shall see ... My last upload:

I am so sorry to hear about the computer, that sucks. A failing fan can cause complete system failure and has on more than one computer in my past. Hopefully, you can preserve all your work and programs. I like the cover, very feminine and very well crafted. Seth

I think it looks great you did a wonderful job as always. Sorry to hear about the computer problems you had and everything you lost. Been there done that myself so I know how you feel. Glad they were at least able to retrieve the data, I wasn't so lucky

I just took my computer apart and cleaned the fan...kept running & running....it was pretty dusty. All good for now..really quiet. So sorry for your troubles. I like the image,girl can never have to many shoes. :-)

Great cover, simple yet striking. And I understand, I've done some commissions where people want something I dont relate to, and it never seems right - all you can hope for is that it lines up with the image in their head, hehe.

Very sad news about your computer !! I hope you could have a other one, maybe more fast and powerful !! I think this is a cool render ! Simple but efficient ! The font style, the pink curtain and the sparkling silver shoes bring a Fashion look to this cover ! An excellent work for me!!
