Description
My Grandmother was deathly afraid of snakes. One sunny day, a copperhead came into the yard. It was between the clothes line (where she was hanging the wash) and the shed (where my sister and I were playing). She yelled for us to stay inside, ran to the back door to grab the garden hoe and charged the snake chopping its head off. I think she had the shakes for a week after that, but, over 50 years later, I can still see that image in my head and remember her courage.
This is my attempt to create that image. Hope you like it.

really cute. We used to catch gardener snakes when I was a kid. Never kept them, though. Turned them loose.

Your grandmother was certainly a resulute woman. I can see, when it came to her grandchildren, she fought like a lioness. Great scene, made fabulous!

I am seing snakes in the grass all the time but they are much smaller thank God. I like this scene. Reminded me of a similar scene with my mother long ago

Snakes give me the creeps, ever try to kill one? I had to kill one and I tell you the skin on them are really tuff. Very good scene!

Yeah, I know what you mean about the sharpness of that memory. Have a similar one only it was our farm dog, Prince, killing the rattlesnake.
