Description

When I used to work with film, I preferred monochrome because it always seemed to convey more of a feeling. I was looking at this scene recently and the though struck me that I'd not done a specific monochrome for a long time so, why not experiment? I wanted to use a slightly orange filter to enhance the sky but, as I've not yet got round to reading the instructions on this digital camera, I had no idea if it could be set to B&W mode or how to do it if possible. So, I took a slightly orange colour picture and then monochromed it in Photoshop. The result isn't bad but I think that the filter would have been slightly more effective if the original picture was monochrome. ------------------------------------------ Original Photograph 25 Sep 2012 Minimal postwork in Photoshop

I think it's very nicely done. I wouldn't have guessed it wasn't originally shot in B&W.
