Description

Best viewed at full size. Before "The Hot Gates" and the battle of Thermopylae between the Spartans and the Persians, there MAY have been an Egyptian version of this stronghold landmark in Egypt and it MAY have looked a little like this....of course, they had no flying machines back then but hey, what's wrong with a little creative license. I am not sure what army these warriors are out to meet in battle, probably Romans, but I am sure that in this alternate universe this forces' formidible presence would push back any army and make them think twice before attacking this well protected and nearly impenetrable province. Great image, terrific details. Oh, and about the flying machines - according to 'ancient alien theorists', there could have been flying machines! (way too much discovery channel LOL)
