Oh get the heck outta' here. I didn't know what they were until I read Steve's comment. LOL. I also thought it was a painting at first. But they really do look like mushrooms. They also make me think of aliens that would latch onto your face and plant their seed inside of you. LOL.

Nice catch. I visited the local (Long Beach Cal.) aquarium last week. Man they make the lighting tough to catch good shots. One of my best was from the Jellyfish.
