Description
Directly across the river, from my humble abode, there's an old cemetery. When I say old, I am not kidding. It goes back to the late 1600's. We weren't a town then, we were a settlement under the Parrish of Sutton. Numerous times I have wanted to walk over there and photograph the grave stones. Some most curious individuals are said to be buried there. But for some strange reason I keep avoiding it,drawn to it and yet uncertain as to whether I should venture forth. Cannot understand it, but there is a sense of a "Lurking Fear". Welcome to Fright Night and enjoy as I take you all on a fractal tour of my very odd locale.

Splendid fractaling my friend, super work. The Concordia Cemetery in El Paso holds much the same fascination and sense of dread for me, holding graves from the 1840's/50's and the founding of El Paso. The most interesting thing is the cemetery's proximity to the Spaghetti Bowl (the Interstate 10/US Highway 54) Interchange, a wrong exit off the I-10 at night and trying to find my way back on and I found myself smack in the middle of Concordia Cemetery. Seeing the Overpasses of the Spaghetti Bowl so close and trying my damnedest to navigate my way out of that cemetery on my 3rd night in El Paso in 72 seemed to take forever. To this day when I find myself on I-10 passing through that Interchange I stay in the Fast Lane and floor it, never taking that Wrong Turn again. Peace
