Description

Multnomah Falls, located along the Columbia River Gorge, is the tallest waterfall in Oregon. It's split into an upper falls & a lower falls & measures 620 feet in total height. A dramatic event occurred there in 1995 (from Wikipedia): "On Labor Day in September 1995, a 400-ton boulder, loosened by erosion, fell 225 feet (69 m) from the face of the waterfall into the upper cascade pool, above Benson Bridge. It caused a 70-foot (21 m) splash of water and gravel to wash over the footbridge, causing minor injuries to twenty members of a wedding party that happened to be on it for photos at the time."

Excellent photo. I would have loved to have seen that boulder incident. I also would have loved to have seen that bridge being constructed.

I've been there, photographed it, and found it breath-taking, yet there were 2 other falls nearby that I found even more intriguing. In your photo, I see so much more than what the eye can see more what , making it even more than what nature make it.
