Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  Â

This guy is mammoth! I read an article about a tour guide down there who dangled fish over the side of the boat because they weren't seeing any gators on the tour. Guess what? A gator sprang up and took part of his arm off. Then? He got fined for feeding the gators. That's what I read at least. Have a fun trip!

Gosh is it time for you to move back to Florida again, your summer seems to have gone so quickly. Great that you can move to a warmer place for the winter, you have the best of both worlds. This is a fabulous capture of this predator, you wouldn't want to fight him for a fish. Have a good trip and we will catch up again soon.

Great shot. I got to see some of these monsters (& I say that in an affectionate way) on an airboat trip through the Everglades quite a few years ago. An impressive sight, from a safe distance of course...

have a great trip and stay out of gator's path. some private zoo in Florida for $200.00 one can swim with a tiger cub and feed it milk from a bottle

Looking so docile! - is a mistake to believe that, I keep out of his way - I am no Steve Irwin and don't wish to go fishing there either. You guys must be all very brave ... happy tripping, take care! BB
