Description
My first on Renderosity. Primary background image created using MB3D, final image constructed in Photoshop using my own photographic material.
Covenhithe, an eerie place where the sea relentlessly gnaws at the land and trees of once distant woods tumble head first into alien sands. An Old Hide sits at the edge of the lake. A lake now poisoned by the ebb and flow of every tide. Those who had once made it their home - long since gone, in search of more familiar ground. The derelict Hide standing as solemn reminder to a different time. A time when the waters were fresh and teamed with abundant life. Even the old desalination tanks are redundant now. A sign "DO NOT DRINK" token warning to those who might as once did the trees, unwittlingly quench their thirst from the sea.

WOW! This is amazing! Quite a powerful first post, and I'm glad to see that there are others after it. I love great science fictional/dream-like environments and this ranks up there with some of the best images I've seen throughout the decades. You've both captured and created an excellent sense of "place" with its own inherent logic. This is quite a dynamic image.
