Poppies My, oh my As fresh as a summer sky And oh so blue How you make me smile When I see you. Blue Poppies prose by Carol Cavalaris © Credits: Another in my Flowers In Fancy Vases Collection, featuring the rare Himalayan Blue Poppy, with a matching vase. Created in Photoshop CS, using photo reference sources, painting techniques, modified pods by jaguarwoman, blended with an Organica Background by romanceworks. Last night I drove home in this fierce sleet and windstorm. Not fun on mountain roads, as I could barely see. Made it home okay, and today it's sunny, but still windy. Have a bunch of old dried poppy stalks hanging on the fence. Reminds me to get them to seeds. Blue ones I don't have but yours are luxuriously beautiful.

I love this beautiful image with some of my favourite flowers, the blue is amazing. What a very imaginative vase you have created and it looks just right for the poppies. Your brushwork is superb and gives this a fabulous finish. I'm glad you made it home safely in the storm but it sounds as though it is starting to get a winter feel for you.
