Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

In my days stationed in Japan while in the USAF, there was a Photographer who was on the step ladder for hours taking picture of the sunflower plant. I said at that time, what an idiot! Well little did I know that I would wear his shoes....love to take photos... Thanks for the reminder and never think wrong about anyone else.... Aloha

Brilliant postwork!

Oh my, the sunflower really went through a radical change in this one, especially its color. You may have used the Underpainting or Dry brush filter in this neat concept, Maz.

You've conveyed echos of 1930's tile painting. What a great image! I like this a lot!
