Description

I'm having to use Cathy's computer now, as this computer shuts down with a temperature issue, every time a render starts! Grr! Thrown quite a few pounds and even more dollars at it this last week. It's alright with Adobe, but it cannot handle a decent render. Thank you for stopping by and my apologies, for having missed so many lovely pictures. I am almost back to normal. Steve ;)

WOW!!! I LOVE this!! And I'm so sorry to hear about your computer...time for a new one perhaps?? I can recommend a great custom-built retailer here in the States...dunno if they ship overseas, but they might? :)

Beautiful work. I don't know what system you are on, but if it's Windows XP 32 bit, then you can install a free program called "Speedfan" - just run a search. It tells you how hot evertything is running. I had a graphics card that had no fan and it kept overheating until I replaced it with one that had a fan. Unfortunately, it does not work in Windows 64 bit.

As a big fan of yours (box type), I think you may be having a fan problem (not me though) It is not something to ignore for even a render or 2. computer fans are relatively cheap, but if you ignore them all kinds of things can fry. I know mine started with some noises and by the end of the week my motherboard had fried. At that point a new computer was cheaper than a repair. I could have solved the problem for just a few bucks, but being so rural I have to get thing like that on line and they have to be mailed to me. From the symptoms you are describing I would guess that the fan on you processor heat sink has stopped working. Sometime the buggers just need to be cleaned and re installed. It would be easy to check, just take the side panel off you computer and look to see if the fan is running. Anyway it is nice of your wife to share with you. make sure and thank her from us who enjoy you work. This is what you title made me flash on. It is not a song, but it is good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vuW6tQ0218
