My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Very apt in other ways Tara, I do like the idea and this is a good result.

Outstanding capture and very appropriate dedication to Rod. I love the straights and curves in this image. very elegant design

Interesting shot. But when you know what's really going on there, you know all those extra curved ones are there to see the wires do NOT get crossed. Some have insulators on each end are set in a way to see they stay the correct distance from each other while not moving much, relative to each other, in the wind. While the others could have either insulators or power transferring connectors, there's not enough definition for me to be sure. Anyway, it's still an intriguing shot.

Aha yes! The man with the insulator collection if I recall! Really rather interesting, and very complex, for sure!

Looks like the light I put in the kids dinning room. LOL.

Superb capture and dedication Tara. Happy birthday Rod. God Bless.

I hope they know what they are doing here LOL! Happy Birthday Rod. :)

LOL! Oh my god, I love it!!! You DO know what 'electrifies' me don't you? :-D Yeah, if I'd seen this I would have had to get a shot of it, too. It brings to mind on old 3 Stooges short where Curly did some 're-wiring' on a pole - had me in hysterics... Thanks for the great big birthday smile, Tara! Glad to see no photographers were harmed...LOL! Pretty impressive for a 'drive-by' with a phone!

Cool shot of the electrical abomination. And with an iPhone. Very nice, but whatever happened to your Canon PowerShot SX20?

I have this overwhelming urge to start a game of tic-tac-toe. Excellent abstract in black and white with just a touch of orange.

Great that you have a sunroof to get shots like this. They certainly have made this junction quite fancy with all the wires. Well spotted.

Excellent capture! :)

Shot on an iphone through a sunroof? Decent! I half expect to see a frisbee stuck up there, or a line of birds perched...
Bothellite
Redi-Kilowatt hashed. What a bizarre configuration. Neat shot.

Cool shot Tara. never seen anything like that before!

A right mix there.

If it weren't for the traffic light in a distinctly this side of the Atlantic sort of shape and overall light-to-pole ratio, I'd think you were on the curvy quasi corner of Vodickova Street and Lazarska, in Prague...right where all of the tram cables do that amazingly complicated thing that makes you think of the handiwork of overindustrious spiders. Needless to say: I love this shot and the linear-ness of it. And knowing of Rod's insulator collection, I can see exactly how and why this is the super-perfect birthday gift! Happy Belated Birthday, RodS.

Electric trolley wires I take it. Keen eye to see this shot!
