Description
Welcome to Wally's Paint And Body Shop, created and rendered in Bryce 7 and when I say created in Bryce I mean that other than the obvious, every thing else was made from Bryce cubes and cylinders. And yes even the quarter panel and hood were made from cubes. I had the hardest time trying to get the lighting to look good but after many many attempts at it I had to turn to Photoshop for help. I am still not happy with the results so I am currently re rendering this using the True Ambiance settings, this will be my first render using these settings so if it turns out good I will put it my gallery. I thank you all for visiting and for all of your comments on my other works and any you leave for this one.

Ok I had a good look at this... and you did a fantastic job on the handmade parts! Great setup with loads and loads of details. It does get kind of ' flat' wit this sort of lighting so that needs sorting yes. A scene like this I would not try find a 'one click' setup for the lighting but go for the ( more work , harder to do ..yeah I know) good old menial job of loading this scene in DAZ or Poser and simply put in lights one by one. Like one spotlight in each of the lightfixtures at the top..one in the painting cabine to set it off from the rest..one straight above the engine and one above the frontpanel on the stand..add a fill in light at the right to create the shadows. It takes a bit of tinkering and fiddlin' but it will add depth to it all and make your textures come to life some more. The light from the paint cabin should have the effect of making all the rest seem darker and it will 'stretch' the room to it's appropriate depth. Possibly use Photoshop to wipe part of the reflections in the green door. Now..this is just me being me..so pay no heed if you think it's too much trouble but personally I would replace the male figure with a better model from either Daz (genesis) or one from Poser. The amount of detail you put into the props simply doesn't get reflected in the guy now.
