Here's a quick photo just to let everyone know I'm still alive... LOL!
We're back home, now, after a wonderful trip. I have enough photos to bore you all to death with for the next year, so I'll just cull out the best ones! :-D

Here's one for all the car fanciers out there. We left Mt. Magazine Wednesday, and drove to Petit Jean State Park. It was rainy, and we got there a few hours before check-in time, so we drove around looking for a way to kill a few hours. We found this wonderful Museum of Automobiles, which was a great way to kill a couple hours.
I fell in love with this beautiful '41 Chevy truck.

1941 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Truck
The 1941 models were easily identified by their new front end with fender-mounted headlight pods which were crowned by sweptback parking lights. The grille has two distinct sections. The upper was similar to the 1940 version with two thick horizontal bars capped by a top bar with a thin divider and a bottom bar with Chevrolet lettering. The remaining grille elements consisted of broad vertical bars sweeping outward from a center post carrying a Chevrolet logo.
This truck was purchased in Waco, Texas, just 3 days before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It was stored during the early forties, while it owner served in WWII. The original owner drove the truck until 1962, when he again stored it until early eighties. At that time, the truck had been driven only 57,000 miles.
The current owner, Mr. Looper, purchased the truck with its mileage being only 69,000. This truck has all of its original running gear & sheet metal with no rust and only minor body repair.

Sounds like the rest did you good - gave you some new insights into your story and inspiration to finish. Always handy having photos to post to fill in the rendering days. Mmmm, BBQ salmon on wood boards... Hard to get better than that.

This old truck looks great for its age...well kept. This is how I like to see these old cars, that they look like this day they came off the showroom floor...don't like it when people put mag wheels on them customize them... Hope you had a great time, and had fun filled birthday... Have a good one!
