Description
She always knew when they were about, that tingle down her spine, the drop in temperature...or the rise when the bale fires were bothering people again...the change in atmosphere.
The King had called her in, his truly beloved was , so it seemed, reluctant to take the big hint of the poison food that she was no longer his first and only love, a younger model was waiting in the wings to take her place and as it turned out was eager to do the kings bidding by serving that last meal to the old Queen. Trouble was that even as she took her last breath the Queen swore to have her revenge, this life or the next.
Well as it turned out it was the next.
So here she was, stalking the halls and the kings bed chambers to rid him of the old Queen..and as her glove started to tingle Mercy suddenly had a thought..
" Perhaps the King needs to pay a little more...a bit more coin to rid him of this Spirit, after all one woman to another, it was a bit unfair to poison her just to get a better bed partner, ok she might have nagged him as much as he insisted she did, or moaned when he was on the hunt for days on end, but hey, is that any way to treat a lady ? "
Mercy smiled to herself..
" A bit of banging and crashing, smash the place up a bit....Sorry Kingy, going to have to pay a bit more to rid yourself of this NASTY spirit "
Who would argue that one ?
And now the glove was really starting to tighten on her hand
" She is near..here we go again "

First of all, I love the pov and lighting on this Ian. I like this girl too and how she thinks. Slightly scandalous and black-mailing but he deserves it! Mercy shall have only a little for this king and his ghostly wife, I think :)
