Description
...you will see the Himalayan mountains. As the pilot finished his announcement, I imagined the plane flipping on its side as everyone on the right side rushed over to the left side of the plane. Just left of center is Mount Everest.
We stopped at Dhaka, Bangladesh to take on passengers. As the door opened the cabin was enveloped in a cloud of mosquitoes. My singular memory from that experience is of a flight attendant running up and down the aisle with a can of hairspray trying to drive away the insects. Hours later we landed in Bangkok.

I can just picture that poor lady running around, using up the last of her hairspray (mayhap with a lighter in front? frying the little buggers midflight?)

I have been on a shallow draught paddle steamer when that happened, and the captain had to scream at everyone to stay in the centre of the deck. It was on a little outing along what is now called the Jurassic coast.
