I haven't written anything in months. Here's something new for yous guys. This was more of a stream-of-consciousness kind of composition, so I don't know how well it holds up. I like it, anyway. Ironically, I think the picture I rendered for this entry took longer than the poem itself, and that's the part I didn't really care about. In my poetry, format is very important. Every pause, every break, every punctuation is crucial to the comprehension. I really like splitting phrases so that they mean two different things individually. That was especially important in this composition because it's all about separation and singularity. Enjoy! One. by Caleb Myers It hit me, One day Don't ask me why. I'm not sure I know, myself. I'm not sure I know Myself. One day It hit me. Your eyes. Your smile. The inexplicable. The way your aura engulfs me as you enter the room. You next to me, We are no longer Two Individuals. The heaviness of life. The nervousness of being. The idiocy of reasoning. An oxymoron. A state of being. What else is there? I'm not sure I know Myself. It hit me. Without you I'm not me. Although I thought I knew before, it hit me, One day. I only knew the Half of me.
