Description

26.000 Polyons, 6 Lights, Caustics(8000%), 4x Ray Reflection, 2 hours modeling, rendering time 5 min with AA EnhanchedLow (750 MHZ Duron,256 MB Ram). I had some problems whith using Caustics ( no reflection within the Glass on the metal), so I used one Light with Caustics without Shadows, and one with shadows but without caustics.... However, comment it...

Nice, I like the "smoothness" in the image!... I do not understand why you use 6 lights and 8000% caustic.... but if this is the result... ok.. :-)

Wow! This is awesome. It looks very like the one we gave to my grandparents when they had their golden anniversary. I admire anyone who can do such wonderful work.

the glass doesnt seem to have any thickness, maybe its the refraction i dont know, it just looks like a simple transparent screen or something...

The glass looks real to me. I can see it's thickness along the edge and the refractive distortion along the base. Great job. You've nailed it.

It looks really good, Svenart. Very nicely modeled and a terrific render as well. The refractions and reflections came out looking realistic. :o)

This is great work. Shouldn't the base cast a shadow or was that not the intent?. Neverless I still like it. Great render.

hey wow ! i reckon youve done a real nice job of that clock dude!,and i think the caustics turned out real nice, i struggle with getting a decent look out of the caustics in lw ,but i reckon yours look damn fine!!,the gold looks real nice too,if i had to crit anything in this pic i would have to agree with the coment already raised suggesting maybe a touch more thickness to the glass! not that it doesnt look nice as is cos it does very nice actually ,the only one thing letting it down is i feel the crown on the top of the clock could of had smoother curves, maybe more point plotted down with the pen tool when you drew the shape ,unless its meant to be that shape of course! but all in all a fantastic model and a fantastic peice of work in general ,well done indeed !! as for the coments from this masterofsatan/evilvegeta character a touch of the green eyed monster me thinks !!!
